Volunteer sign-up is open.

Are you a student? If so, you can volunteer at the conference to receive a complimentary registration. Volunteers are asked to serve for one four-hour shift in exchange for their registration fees. A student volunteer must be prepared to show student ID when picking up his/her pass on-site.

Note: Student volunteer sign-up is open while shifts are still available. Shifts fill up fast, so sign up now!

How does volunteering help you?
AWP is now accepting student volunteers for our 2010 Conference in Denver. All conference volunteers receive a complimentary registration in exchange for volunteering for one four-hour shift. You must be a student to receive this complimentary, volunteer registration. No refunds will be issued to individuals who are currently registered.

What will you be doing?
Individuals who volunteer will be asked to help AWP staff with general customer service, including working pre-registration, providing directional assistance, preparing registration materials, and other task to provide assistance to our members and attendees.

When do you volunteer?
AWP has openings for volunteers on Wednesday, April 7 through Saturday, April 10, 2010. There is limited space for volunteers at AWP’s Conference, and we are not able to take scheduling requests. In the space provided below, please indicate your date of arrival and date of departure so that we can keep them in mind as we schedule you to volunteer.

When will you know your schedule?
You will be sent confirmation of receipt within three business days of completing this online form. You will receive your scheduled date and time for volunteering no later than March 8, 2010.

Please check the boxes below to indicate the dates you are available to volunteer. Be sure to check ALL the days you are available, as we have a limited amount of volunteer slots each day. Only checking one day could decrease the likelihood that we are able to include you on our roster. Please be sure that you are available on the dates that you mark. Unless otherwise indicated, time slots begin in the morning at 7:30 AM and end in the evening at 6:00 PM.
Keep in mind that being assigned a morning shift means that you will be available to attend more events throughout the day.
