Career Center

Welcome to AWP’s Career Services Center. Our mission is to promote excellence in the teaching of creative writing by connecting great teachers with high quality educational institutions. We maintain hundreds of dossiers for members enrolled in Career Services, and act as a trustworthy clearinghouse for letters of recommendation, and transcripts. At your request, we will send out your dossier to prospective employers and keep your materials safe, organized, and private.

Today’s job market is more challenging than ever, so it’s important to have as many resources at your disposal as possible. We’ve assembled a variety of tools to assist you with your job search that are only available for members and can be accessed on the eLink.

Career Services

Members of AWP may choose to enroll in our Career Services. AWP will collect and maintain a permanent dossier of your valuable letters of recommendation and transcripts, and send copies of your file to job search committees that you select. Our streamlined request-processing system allows you to conduct your entire job search online. eLinK also provides access to guidelines for conducting your search efficiently, including the best possible preparation of your curriculum vitae or resume.  If you would like more information about AWP Career Services, please e-mail jobs@awpwriter.org.  You may also purchase Career Service packages at the AWP storefront.
